KEFIAH BAG
E ancora dall’idea del viaggio, nascono le borse kefiah.
Avete presente l’immagine, dello scenario un po’ infantile, del vagabondo con bastone in spalla, alla cui estremità ha appeso il suo fagotto? … Idea che portata al giorno d’oggi viene tradotta con la borsa shopping: comoda, d’uso quotidiano e duttile; stampata con i motivi della kefiah per dare la sensazione che sia fatta proprio con il tipico foulard.
Il procedimento non è stato altro che quello di fotografare la classica kefiah, per poi stamparla serigraficamente in bianco e nero sul canvas grezzo, dando quindi un effetto di mosso e dinamico.
Sulla tasca interna c’è impressa la parola “photoshopping”, un ibrido tra PHOTO (perchè per la stampa si è partiti appunto dalla foto) e SHOPPING (che è il modello di borsa realizzato). Nell’insieme “photoshopping” fa eco proprio al programma di photo editing, ma vuole essere solo un ironico gioco di parole!
And yet the idea of the trip, the bags come kefiah.
You know the image, of a bit childish scenery, of the tramp with a stick over his shoulder with his bundle? … Idea that nowadays can be translated with the shopping bag: comfortable, everyday used and flexible, printed with kefiah’s motifs to give the impression that it is done with the typical scarf.
The procedure was nothing more than to photograph the traditional keffiyeh, and then screen printing in black and white on raw canvas, thus giving a blur effect and dynamic.
On the inside pocket there is stamped the word “Photoshopping”, a hybrid between PHOTO (because for the print we started just from the photo) and SHOPPING (which is the model of the bag). Overall “Photoshopping” echoes the software for photo editing, but it’s just an ironic play on words!

Una spilla a forma di piccola girandola, che mostra il movimento del vento. Rileva la quantità di energia che produce una persona mentre cammina.
A pin in the shape of a small mill that shows the movement of the wind. It reveals the quantity of energy produced by a walking person.

STOOL FAFU

Lo scopo di questo progetto è quello di trasformare in plexiglas da materiale prevalentemente espositivo a materiale più espressivo. L’ispirazione viene dai mestieri tradizionali e artigianali (la lavorazione del vetro, legno e ceramica), al fine di creare pezzi che esprimono le potenzialità del materiale, spingendo i confini del “fare” verso il sublime.
This project’s aim is to transform Plexiglas from a mainly retail and display material into an expressive one. It was inspired by traditional crafts (the handling of glass, wood, and ceramics) in order to create pieces that express the potential of material by pushing the boundaries of the act of “making” towards the sublime.

LIGHT BOX

Light Box è una lampada e un tavolo. E ‘caratterizzato da due diverse finiture: argilla naturale e smalto. L’oggetto diffonde la luce all’interno: il touch dimmer è nascosto, ed i colori dello smalto vengono riflessi.
Light Box is both a lamp and a table. It is characterized by two different finishings: natural clay and enamel. The object diffuses light from within; the touch-dimmer is hidden and the enamel colours are reflected.

UFOOD

Si ispira alle atmosfera dei film di fantascienza degli anni ‘50, questa collezione vuole ricreare una architettura ludica e “spaziale”. Si tratta di un tavolo invaso da “oggetti non identificati”, che sono elementi decorativi nonché contenitori per cibo e bevande.
Inspired by the atmosphere of sci-fi films from the 1950s, this collection aims at recreating a playful and “spatial” architecture. It is a table invaded by “unidentified objects” which are decorative elements as well as being containers for food and drink.

Domsai è un tamagotchi per la vostra scrivania. E’ prodotto artigianalmente nei pressi di Bassano del Grappa (VI). Ogni Domsai ha la propria personalità, ogni cactus ha la sua propria cupola, su misura edi vetro soffiato, che lo differenzia dagli altri.
Domsai is a tamagotchi for your desk. It is produced with craftsmanship in the neighbourhood of Bassano del Grappa (VI). Each Domsai has its own personality, each cactus has its own dome, tailor made and blowed, that differentiates it from the others.

COLOR MIXER

Bottiglie di pyrex contenenti bevande gassate, colorate nei quattro colori base (CMYK). Mescolate tra loro, con un processo chimico, creano i colori secondari e terziari.
Pyrex bottles containing fizzy drinks tinted with the four basic colours (CMYK). Mixed together, following a chemical process, they create secondary and tertiary colours.

GEYSER VASE

Sono vasi da fiori, che danno agli interni un tocco di decorazione finale, agendo sul piano visivo e materiale. Il corpo principale è in ceramica e sembra “sospeso” per via delle ampolle in vetro soffiato che lo supportano. Ne risulta una forma organica con “filamenti” per inserirci i gambi dei fiori.
Vases for flowers which add the finishing touch to interior decoration by acting at a visual and material level. The main part is made from ceramic and seems “suspended” because of the slender blown-Pyrex stems that support it. The result is an organic shape with filaments for fixing the stems of the flowers.
